Course Description: This course is designed to provide the learner with an understanding of Hospice services, the roles of Hospice team members, and the benefits of working as a team during patient end – of – life care. The course will discuss EMS considerations for a Hospice patient and identify Hospice criteria and typical symptoms of an end – of – life patient. The course will also discuss Hospice patient symptom management, time of death, and bereavement services while encouraging living. The course will also cover myths and realities of Hospice based care.
